Dementia and Memory Community Centre - TAS

The Commonwealth-funded Dementia and Memory Community Centres offer a range of services to the general public, including those with memory loss, their carers, family and friends.

Some of the services we offer include:

Information resources

Tasmania's Dementia & Memory Community Centre offers a computer to allow access to the internet so you can find information on memory and dementia online. A range of hard-copy information resources is also available.

Our national library service provides access to a comprehensive collection of print and digital resources about dementia. The service supports people living with dementia, family carers and friends as well as people working in dementia care practice and allied health areas.

Risk reduction workshops

Find out about how you can reduce your risk of developing dementia by learning about the Your Brain Matters program.

A number of programs are run on site, including our art therapy program and community information sessions. A number of other one-off programs and sessions are run at the Centre throughout the year, and are advertised by mailout to clients, service providers, and members of the association.

Talk to a counsellor

A qualified counsellor, psychologist or social worker is always available to talk confidentially, face-to-face, with you about your concerns, be they for your own memory or that of a family member or friend.
