Your story matters! Become a dementia advocate.
Every person impacted by dementia has a story to tell. Many want to share their story to help improve the lives of others, but do not know where to begin. Anyone with a diagnosis of dementia, as well as carers or former carers of people with dementia can become a Dementia Advocate.

As a Dementia Advocate you will:
- Raise awareness of dementia
- Enable greater social inclusion for people with dementia
- Help government and service providers recognise the needs of people living with dementia and their families
- Tackle stigma and discrimination associated with dementia
As a Dementia Advocate you can:
- Share your story with the media and attend special events
- Contribute to parliamentary reports and dementia policy
- Assist with fundraising campaigns and speak at forums and public events
- Learn new skills and build confidence as a community leader
Be involved as much or as little as you like. All you need is a desire to improve the lives of people living with dementia!
